Why Pour-Over Only

Why Pour-Over Only

At Weekend, we do things a little differently. No espresso machine. No milk menu. Just pour-over coffee — made slowly, by hand, one cup at a time.

It’s a choice people often ask about. And for us, it comes down to one thing: attention.

Pour-over forces a pause. Water meets coffee gradually, you see it bloom, you control the flow, you stay present with the process.

It’s not the fastest way to make coffee — but that’s the point. Weekend isn’t about rushing.

With pour-over, everything is exposed. The quality of the beans, the roast, the grind, the technique — it all shows up in the cup.

There’s no milk to soften it (unless you really want it), no shortcuts to mask it. Just clarity, balance, and the true character of the coffee.

That’s why we choose it. Because when the coffee is good, it deserves to be experienced as it is.

We’re not trying to be everything to everyone. We’re here for something more specific: slow coffee, and moments that feel intentional.

Pour-over creates that. A small ritual. A chance to stop, even briefly, and enjoy something made with care.

It’s simple. It’s honest. It’s Weekend.
